The next step after Plains of Eidolon, to me, personally could have been Dragon's Dogma Online's receptive fields.

I really don't know this type of mentality. Can you play these match because they're fun to playwith? Or do you play them with the idea that it's just"worth it" if these 100s of hours are carried over like it's some type of PSO2 Meseta investment? I read things on the web like this all the time and it's so strange to me. It's a new game that brings new adventures to be enjoyed. NG being declared doesn't somehow negate the fun of currently playing PSO2. NG is supposed to emerge in 2021, that could be over a year from now. That's so much time to enjoy PSO2. Ummm we just got the game in NA a number of us didn't play on JPN servers this entire time and now we're being told any progress we make from the version we just got is going to be for nothing if you want to play the new game. Some people are also spending some money in this version of the game. They should have just never published this present version in NA and waited till 2021 for this one. I would have never even begun playing if I knew a new version of a live service match was coming out. That is the reason Sega is a third party dev now instead of hardware maker. They badly take you step forward and 2 steps back all of the time and it is frustrating. The life cycle for NA is just starting so that it doesn't make sense in any way. Unless this match is more like a single player experience, then it might make sense. What is the intention of this game? This is key information. I mean, for a whole lot of us this match is just a fast log in, 5 minute daily, then lobby idle until UQ, so this (maybe not ) new game won't actually interfere with what a few of us are doing lol I like this game enough that I will likely keep playing with it even after NGS launches, particularly if they're serious about encouraging it before 2022. Also the jury is still out on how makeup and other jump things will be handled out of their vague announcement. Makeup, premium, and expansions are all character bound but we do not know whether they will continue over, but if they do then it will not be a total waste of cash. I am really excited for this update. I just don't enjoy our levels will be flashed. For somebody who just started this season with NA, like me, it actually hinders my urge to keep progressing my character in the version of PSO2 we have today. I don't mind leveling a new character and whatnot, but when we're keeping weapons and components we actually must learn how they will be taken over. I'd love to get a couple of good sets of equipment to use at the start but it would be... unfortunate should they nerfed a 13 star weapon into a three star or something comparable. I could see a 13 falling to can you buy meseta on pso2 a 12 or 11, possibly even 10 celebrity with legitimate reasoning and sufficient new gear to locate. However, greater than that would be ridiculous. And when affixes aren't taken over it puts a hamper on attempting to affix items to be great equipment.
